However, there are times when removing carpet from stairs is necessary to avoid damaging the hardwood steps or contaminating them with sewage. Removing tack strips is not suggested, since this may result in damage to the hardwood or subfloor. Extreme caution must be exercised when the tack strip is exposed or the carpeted steps are damp. If the remaining carpet on the stairs is unsalvageable, it will be removed during the new carpet installation.

How are you going to match my carpet pad?

We bring a sample of your pad to our office for matching. When an identical pad is available, it will be used. In the event that your original pad is no longer available, we will replace it with one of comparable quality, thickness, and density. A similar pad may have a different color depending on when it was created.

What are your plans for my area rugs?

Rugs are transferred to our warehouse where they receive special treatment. They must be dried gently to avoid color leakage and degradation. Your rugs will be dried, cleaned, and returned as soon as possible.
